Why you Need to Bring Back High FODMAP Foods
I often find it much easier to convince someone to try doing a low FODMAP diet than it is to get them to consider the re-introduction program.
And I get it.
It’s very difficult to try bringing back foods when you’re feeling so much better. But the diet is simply a test. If the diet makes you feel better, the problem isn’t the food - which is great news! All the diet is doing is taking away food from the bacteria (both good and bad) . It’s not fixing anything. And long term we actually see that diets that starve the bacteria can have negative effects on the gut microbiota - the opposite of what we want to do.
The good news is, most people will quite quickly tolerate some of the food categories (and we have a plan to help you figure out which those are) - and with our plan to help balance the gut, most people find they can bring back most, if not all, of the foods .
Which is fantastic as we want people to have the largest variety of foods, and the lowest stress around eating possible.
You deserve to be able to eat without pain.
